This are a cablewelder. It is an expensive equipment. I myself try to carry out this operation, and it took some practice to get it right.

  1. Hello Andreas

Interesting that it is difficult to learn to use the equipment shown in the photo. Is it the same as a equipment that you would use when working as an electrician, or it is a modified version of equipment that is used 'on the job'?
How many students are in your classes?

What teaching approaches do you use to support students to learn how to use the Cablewelder? Would they all be working simultaneously on a piece of equipment similar to the one in your photo, or would you demonstrate its use?

    Regards
    Susanne

    1. Hello Susanne, it is the same equipment used by professional electricians. There are about 20 students in each class. I will first show how to do it and then get the students to try. The method we use is learning by doing.

    2. It should be added that you do not need to have an education as an electrician before using the machine.
